Tonight we had to have baz put to sleep we had been syringe feeding him food and water since last week . He was 1068g but slowly went down to 991g on tues morning . Tues night he started to pick up and was weighed on wed 1013g he was eatng hay veg outside eating grass dandelions .wed night things changed he seemed to forget how to chew veg hay carrots he started running round cage standing in each corner biting his bowl the bars walking around like he was drunk basing into sides off cage when i went to syringe feed he grab hold of syringe would not let go when i manage to get it free and refill it he grab hold off my wrist and bit me he never bit me before . This morning unresponsive not reacting to his name bashing about his nose swelled up where bashing against cage . I got him out and he had been compact all week i have been getting his poo out every day for him today picked him up starting moaning and it ran from him . I. Had him out but he would just stay still and not move . I later put him in cage heard i noise he was lying on his back so turned him over started what he had done night before. Vet reckons he could of had cancer and it spread to brain that why has these crazy out bursts

That's so sad. I'm sorry it ended this way for Baz after all your care trying to get him well again :(.

I hope you are ok, sounds like a traumatic day for you. At least Baz is at peace now.

I saw your rainbow bridge post, really sorry. You did everything possible for him. x

That's so tragic! What a horrible way to lose a little man! Big hugs for you and rainbow bridge Baz xx

Thank you every one . Its amazing how you get attached to these little guys. I was thinking he was on the mend then. He just turned i rang vet and said he had picked up was in garden but then started going mad . I. Felt this was the best way to have him put to sleep i Was abit worrid at first has i read they can sometimes put needle staight into heart and i was not having that .she put bit in his neck and he went into deep sleep and rest in his side .forgot to mention his fur came out in clumps when she went to stick needle in prop down to malnutition i use to offer him his poo after took it out but that never went down well who blame him some one shuffing poo in your face. He always had his head between his legs. I found he went better than fred . Fred stoPped eating but it must been over night and went down so quick he was given saline injections but passed away 2 hours later i was trying to syringe him food and he was taking last breaths that was horrendence has i didnt know . Baz went in more peaceful way. My partner held him and it came a shock to see a 48. Year old cry over a piggie . You have your favs baz was mine and fred his but he was at work when fred passed so he never saw it .

I am so sorry to hear this. Poor Baz sounds like he was so unwell. You made the right choice by helping him out of his pain.

HUGS

I am very sorry! Poor Baz - not a nice way to go; and so distressing for you, too! You have done your very best for him.
