hi everyone

me again mythering

I'm driving my boyfriend mad i think. iv been talking about craigs face for the past 2 hours. @)

my mate has told me to buy some cannestan she has guinea pigs and says it works. She said she will come round tuesday and have a look at him for me. Iv just had a look at my diary and i am going to struggle taking him to the vets I'm working daft hours next week. Plus his skin isnt all scabby or anything at the moment just got a little bald patch.

Should i purchase some cannestan? i always thought it was cream for your bottom but technology has obviously moved on...

ive got no advice but i hope he gets better soon :)

and theres alot of stuff like this ive learnt can be used for poorly piggies, tis quite strange though :))

Hi,

It's really good for you to keep us updated but it'll be a lot easier for people to follow the history of what's happened to little Craig, and keep up with the conversation, if you keep adding to the same thread instead of starting a new one. (Some get really lengthy and span months, maybe years, so I wouldn't worry about the thread getting too long!)

Hope you get a firm diagnosis soon so you can get him on the road to a speedy recovery! :)

thanks me to :)) sorry bowt that i got a bit carried away I'm on a roll tonight @)@):))

It's not a problem!...just a friendly suggestion as we'd all want you (and little Craig!) to get the best advice, that's all :)

thank you :) i am going to have a think about the cannestan tonight and make a decision in the morning. my mate knows a bit about piggies and i am going to take craig to her house tuesday evening so she can take a look. It doesnt look too bad at this stage but I'm conscious that its going to get worse.

maybe your right though perhaps i should take him to a vet ill sleep on it. thanks for your help xx:))

My friends piggy had a fungal infection in its nose and was advised by the vets to buy canestan

(you need canerstan 1%) which is used to treat ringworm dont tell the chemist who its for just say its for a friend she has been in contact with a animal with ringworm and she now has a patch on her hand dont get canerstan 2%
apply it twice a day for around 3 wks the hair may fall out a little more which is normal but if there is no scabbing or crustiness i doubt its fungal it wont hurt guinea if you do use the cream and its not fungal.....worth a try....

thanks for this guys. iv got the 1% just got in from work but back off out again I'm going to put some on later xxxxxxx

iv put some cannestan on it its gone quite red, but iv been told this is normal? anyway iv ordered some cream off the gorgeous guineas website (currently haymaker).

i will use the cannestan until that comes because i dont want anything to spread in the meantime.

fingers crossed xx
