Hi guys as you know Twiglet and Pickle fell out of bond therefore I was forced to seperate. Twiglet has been neutered and Pickle has been newly bonded with a skinny pig named Branston. Everything was going fine but once again Pickle is loudly teeth chattering at Branston which is what happened prior to the fight between Twig and Pickle. I am now terrified it will happen again and I don’t know what to do.

Hi!

I am very sorry. How old is Pickle?

All you can do is keep a close eye on him and follow the tips re. dysfunctional bond/temporary separation in this guide here (it works for adult boars, too): Boars: Teenage, Bullying, Fighting, Fall-outs And What Next?

Hi Branston is almost 4 months old and Pickle is a year old. They are in a 160 cage with two of everything. Pickle is definitely boss pig but still loudly teeth chatters at Branston. I currently have the cage doors wide open and no one ended hides in case of an incident but I will most likely divide the cage for the night.

Pickles is still a teenager while Branston is just about starting with his testicles descending. It is likely a reaction to this process and Branston starting to produce testosterone in more noticeable quantities.

It can well be that Pickles is overreacting because he doesn't know how to handle a teenager and feels threatened.

My two year old ex-single Dylan couldn't when gentle Llelo refused to submit abjectedly the more Dylan pushed for it. In the end I split them when the fronts started to harden whenever they met again after a separation. Both boys now live with a sow each. Dylan got a baby girl, which he still gets on really with even though she is now a teenager.
