poor you and poor piggy - dont worry i am sure he will be fine - we had this with our Louis, but the huge lump was a absess which turned up after he had the chop, it was like a golf ball and was rushed to emergency vets, but operation went well and he;s fine now, so I am sure everything will be ok xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ive just rung the vets for update and ralphie has a massive abscess they have cleaned it out and put in a drain..he will stay at the vets for around 2 days on antibiotics and while it drains away..they said he got an infection in his penis and it spread to his op site ...he has a cauliflower willy so this doesn't help..but he was just coming around from the op...guess how much it will cost for the treatment and 2 days in the vets 20 to 30 pounds in total so was very pleased with this they are such a good vets and dont always charge and give my baytril large amounts for free for my guinea rescue and also do free health checks for me..:):)

PHEW! Thank goodness he's coming round poor thing. That's an excellent price for all that care, they do sound excellent.

Poor guinea baby. I hope his recovery is swift and full Claire.

Scary thing to happen

Sending get well wheeks to Ralphie and hugs to you.. Come on Ralphie, get better quickly..

Have you added your vet's name to the list of recommended vets sticky. It would be helpful if you could also pm it to Glynis, the forum buddies are in the process of updating this information to an easily accessible format.

Hope Ralphie is ok, and on the mend now. x
