I can't believe after 3 years of reasearching, saving and plan i picked up my two piggies today. They are really timid and had hidden at the back of their cardboard box since we got home. I filled it with hay and some veg but haven't seen them move around much. I can't wait until i see their personalities come through. Ill add pictures of their cage [ these were taken a while ago to send to the lady theres more hideys and hay in there now]20180922_072808.webp20180922_072800.webp20180922_072754.webp

Lovely big cage. Lucky piggies. If they are very nevous then perhaps pinning a towel/ fleece over the top of one part of the cage will help them to feel more secure. Look forward to seeing photos once they are settled. What are their names?

I agree with Vickie! A covered area is a good idea. I still keep my kitchen areas covered for my piggies. They love it! Nice set up!

What a lovely set up, and just thank you on behalf of your piggies for doing such intense research so you could give them the best life and home, a very responsible owner! And congratulations on finally getting them 🎉🎉 exciting times 😊 Can't wait to see some photos of them! 💖

oh I didn't think about that. I will wash another fleece and do it. they are called Ben and Jerry.

What a lovely set up.
Congratulations on your new piggies- they have really landed on their paws.
I have found it can take a longer time than we expect for new piggies to settle.
Be gentle and patient with them, talk to them and they will soon associate your voice with food.

Looking forward to pictures when they are settled

Your pigs cage is brilliant, try playing some guinea pig noises of begging for veg through youtube, I find it makes them realise it not a scary place when i do that. It could seem cruel though like a tease but i didnt see anything negative as a result. My new pig shot out and started exploring
