fudges wee was meant to be sent off to check her kidneys yesterday, but there was blood in it when they dipped it so they couldn't send it off. My vet left a message to say there was no other signs of infection and her urine was very dilute so it's looking more like her kidneys are failing.

Of course by the time I called back the vet had left, so I was in a state.

I'm taking her in tomorrow at 1.30
To discuss everything. I'm absolutely devastated.

Should be prepared as been a matter of time for this to happen for 15 months- but I am no where near prepared.

Please all send every ounce of good luck vibes our way.. Praying for some turn around with this but I think I'm just being hopeful there.

She's had numerous cuddles since I got home from work, licked up all my tears and then had a potter around the floor.

We've just lost a beagle (at 15 years old) that had cancer three times and other major illnesses but even tho you expect it you can't seem to prepare yourself for the inevitable. Good luck you lovely Fudge lady. You've beat the odds so many times you can again.

BIG HUGS

You are never prepared when the time comes, whether that is a beloved pet or a human... :(

Sending you and Fudge my love!

I'm sooo sorry Adelle.

Nothing I can say really except hugs to you and vibes for glorious Fudge. She still looks happy in herself. You've been at this point so many times in the last 15 months - your angel could still prove everyone wrong.. You'll know what's right.

Fingers and paws crossed xx

Sending you and Fudge lots of love Adelle. She is such a little fighter and has the most wonderful Mom. You can never prepare for losing a loved one, furry or non furry. Keeping you both in my thoughts tomorrow. Huge hugs to you and cuddles to Fudge x x

I'm sending massive hugs and healing vibes for the gorgeous fudge. No one can ever prepare themselves for something bad even if they've got it on their mind constantly .Dont necessarily think the worst though, fudge has always been a little fighter xx

Thanks everyone it means a lot. Finally Sat down to my dinner but it went in the bin, can't even think about eating.

Got classic fm on in the room as there's a lot of fireworks going off nearby.. Iv suspected she's been deaf for over a year now but just erring on the side of caution. She's been sleeping soundly and dreaming with lovely ear twitches. She seems comfortable, which is all I can ask for really.

I'm so sorry to read this Adelle. I have everything firmly crossed.

She's a very special piggy.

Sending love from me and my eight girls. x x

Huge hugs to you @Adelle. It's no easier whether the lead in time is short or long. If you love them, you are never truly ready, although we try to prepare ourselves for that day. What counts now is that you make very moment with your beautiful girl count. You and she have the most incredible bond. Please try to stay strong for her.
We are all here for you and for Fudge. x

Crunchie is showing her support to Fudge. Piggies are more perceptive than we give them credit for. That's so touching. :luv:

I'm so sorry Adelle, like others have said take each day at a time and make each moment with her special. Here if you need me.

Good luck at the vets &fingers crossed for the  gorgeous Fudge -hopefully its just another glitch if she's still happy pottering.

Enjoy every moment with her &hope she still has a good quality of life with you for a bit longer yet.
Big hug for a fantastic guinea mum, thinking of u. Lots of love the girls &I xx xx

Bless little Crunchie, she must be thinking she can protect Fudge.
That is such terrible news, she kept going for so long and tried so hard, and you never know, mabey there is still some fight there.
Big hugs to you both.Xx

Fudge has lost a substantial amount of weight since I weighed her yesterday morning. It's not looking good :-(
