Junior Guinea Pig
Miss Capybara (Capy/Bara/Bra-Bra) came to live with us 3 years ago when I lost my beloved Rillo, who was 7 years old.
I still had 3 of Rillo's mates, but as they were all roughly a year or 2 younger than Rillo, one by one, they've all shuffled off, so Capy was left alone (I was too disheartened to just 'go & get another guinea' & believed that the right piggy would come along).
One caught my eye at a Rescue Centre but unfortunately, with him being 50 miles away from me, was snapped up by someone else.
I heard a little rumour that there were some Skinnies available (have always wanted a skinny as I'm quite allergic to Piggies & thought maybe they would be better, plus the fact that I personally think they're absolutely adorable).
Off I toddled & I ended up coming home with a little black female skin (who we have named 'Liquorice' or 'Rish' for short; nothing ends up keeping it's proper name in this house!).
We have had Rish for 4 weeks now & although her & Capy are not yet 'cage mates' they seem to have bonded very well. Capy is very gentle with Rish, eventhough Rish is absolutely fascinated by Capy's hair & keeps nibbling on it. Hopefully this is the start of a beautiful friendship.
