Hi All,

I've just stumbled upon this from another site, so done a search and found they are related to Guinea Pigs, they are gorge I want one! :D

You learn something new everyday didn't know this animal exsisted!

Louise (educating you all!) ;)

P.S Mods feel free to move post if not in the right section, wasn't sure where to stick this!

You do realise they get quite big, right? ;D

Do you think you have the time for a 2 foot tall, 10 stone beast roaming around your front room? :o

Or a small but fat child? ;D

Hope there's no 2 foot tall 10 stone children on here to read this lol

If there is, I want a picture! Oh, my strange sense of humour ::)

I can see them being domesticated in the future :-\ It would be like having a guinea dog :D

I too want a Capybara, I even email DEFRA etc and asked about keeping them and I would need a Dangerous Animals Licence :o
We usually make a trip to a Zoo and a couple of years ago we went to Chester Zoo...
Here is someone having her tea...

Me and my friend climbed through bushed etc, I was covered in scratches to touch this female...

Her skin felt thick like a pig and the hair was course like a pig also, I was supprised I imagined her to me more like a Guinea Pig than a big pink Pig.

I have told my OH, Nathan that I was to become keeper for the day because you can work with them, its £200 but I would do anything to be with them and meet them properly, not through the enclosure fence.

To make my day complete, I found this in the gift shop...

aw i feel sorry for the naked mole rat , ugly arent they , aw they cant help it really can they :-X

We have 2 baby Capybaras at bristol Zoo and they are gorgeous and very layed back where as the older ones who died didnt do much. These 2 swim which is a site to see and they have the same number of toes on each feet as a guinea pig :D :D :D

The naked mole rats have been my favourite at the zoo for years, I love watching them :)

its their teeth that freak me out , but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and they cant help it. When i went to the zoo i was tempted to get in with them , i so wanted to smooth them :smitten:
