When I was little I used to put toilet rolls with a slit down the middle in with my guinea pigs so that they could play with them. I was considering doing this with my piggy today but I just had a thought that it could be dangerous so I thought I should come and get all your opinions on it before I put any of them in :) Many thanks xox

My piggy does have a habbit of nibbling on things but I guess only time will tell whether she eats the toilet rolls or not :) Thankyou very much for the reply

I stuff mine with hay and hide small chips of carrot and apple in it then put cucumber on the sides. Entertains them for a while! :)

If you ever buy a new carpet or live near a carpet shop.. the roll they use inside is the same as the cardboard tubes you can buy in p@h for £5! I asked my local carpet shop for some and they gave me a couple of big rolls for free which i cut up so they have little tunnels lol x

The carboard does no harm as long as it's not covered in film or painted.

Mine love the toiletrolls with hay or grass stuffed inside, they also like to hide in shoeboxes with holes in them (like a tunnel).

My bunnies love tossing the rolls and scrunched newspaper balls, they also like tossing the open (dried out) pinecones.

Mine always eat cardboard rolls from toilet rolls or kitchen towel - within a day or two they have disappeared! I assume it's safe as they have been doing it for years with no ill effects.
