is it alright for piggies to have cardboard tubes (kitchen roll etc.) to play with and possibly eat? :D

Yep mine have had toilet roll tubes stuffed with hay/herbs etc...I prefer to slit them down the middle first though just incase a silly piggy tries to get inside ::) (yep they are probably too big but better safe than sorry eh!)

i'm on the same brainwave as you then, cos i was gonna stuff them with hay and treats! :D :D i'm glad i can. :)

ive always cut my tubes down the middle in case silly piggies get their bonces stuck in it ;D

kitchen roll cubes, cardboard boxes etc are fine but in moderation as they cant digest that well and it can bung them up :o

You can get tubes from shops made from vegetable parchment which are better if they are having lots of them but in moderation cardboard is fine :)

i've got a tip, if you go to a carpet shop and ask for the cardboard roll in the middle of the carpets. it's about 4 metres long and you can cut in into small pieces (with a saw) just like the ones from pet shops. mine have a nibble but its quite hard, they don't get far. ;D

I've just this minue beeen cutting chubes up.. 2 kitchen and a toliet roll. I normally cut a line down the middle and then stuff full of grass, hay, parsley etc,

Tubes are great for stuffing with hay- they do chew them but not sure if they actually swallow it :) I take mine out when they've eaten the hay inside. Though I do have one thats hanging from the front of a cage that gets left there for stuffing with hay.

Yep, mine have a lot of cardboard, loo rolls, boxs, carboard things from packages...well my blue bin got filled in my move so my piggies are helping me clear dome of the cardboard away :P

Great minds think alike poodle-pigs, been doing the same for well over a year! As they are free, they're great to give all my visitors to play with and they get to take them home!
