caring for a long haired piggie

I'm new to this forum so please bear with me :))

i'm experiened with guinea pigs but i am picking up my first long haired piggie tomorrow. I know they need to be groomed often and possibly have their hair trimmed every so often. Can anyone help me with anything else i should know?
