I hate cutting my piggies hair, I'm always scared he's going to jump and I will hurt him :(
Alot of time is needed for grooming, worth it tho, he's very cute :)

i'm adopting a semi long haired pig soon, and i'm dreading cutting her hair already when the time comes!

i have to say, he is absolutely stunning! drool i love his gorgeous wavy hair xx
 
When cutting long guinea pig hair, try to remember that they don't like the tug and pull. Go as gently as you can. I know I give Oreo a hair cut every once in a while (more like every two months) and she likes it but hates the sound of her hair cutting. Keeping them calm with veggies infront gets them used to the scisssors as well.

I found grooming my long haired a bit difficult because every time i touched anything but his head he would kick his legs out and buckeroo :)) but I would get someone to keep a hold of him whenever I cut his nails, brushed him or cut his hair. Was quite easy then :)
 
Aw, what a gorgeous piggy! Just make sure you put your fingers under the scissors when cutting (if that makes sense) so that you will never cut him. Finley needs a weekly bottom wash too as he does pee on himself often despite me cutting the hair around his bottom very short!
 
He likes having his hair combed, it takes ages tho, under the top layer of frizzy waves its really curly. I don't cut his hair all over, Just underneath, which involves my son holding him under his arms in the sort of sitting position so I can cut around his bits, otherwise they get caught in his bum :(
 
Sounds like you're doing a good job! I often find Finleys hair has gone into his willy :red I have to check it every day rolleyes

Me too, 4 months ago I never inmagined even having a guinea pig, def didn't think I would be sat there pulling the hair out ones bottom, lol!
My other boy has quite long hair but its not frizzy and so much easier to maintain.
