In our Grooming Care & Health Monitoring Section, we have got a helpful information collection with practical care advice for some of the more common challenges with older guinea pigs as well as addressing dilemmas and problems you as a loving owner will be facing, in the hope of helping you make this part a bit easier and less lonely for you.

Here is the link: Caring for Older Piggies and Facing the End - A practical and supportive information collection

You are always welcome to open an ongoing support thread in this section since your grieving process doesn't start with the death but with the moment you realise that the end is on its way and inevitable. The shock of this realisation is comparable to the shock that comes with a sudden death; overall, you are not grieving any less but with different dynamics as quite a bit of the grieving process happens before the loss when looking after a terminally ill piggy although it there is still more grieving left afterwards.

We are here for you to support you with our understanding community support throughout the whole time, both morally and with practical advice if wished.
