Carmeline, an opinionated and elderly lady, has currently got a mild infection that is being treated with antibiotic. So she is being given recovery food as well as the usual diet. Being a very ladylike piggy she prefers to take her recovery food from a spoon, mixed into a sort of soup, at her own gentle pace.

(Sorry about the large pink hand) The greenery is because she likes to help the recovery food down with celery leaves and bits of lettuce. It must be fairly difficult to eat, it does get all over her chin, so the bits of green do help.

I thought I would show this simply because it is a good idea to give recovery food every now and then to an elderly piggy or a piggy with a long term illness. When they learn to eat from the spoon it makes life much easier for everyone. It does take a long time, this was a good twenty minutes worth of gentle chomping to get through a rounded teaspoon of the recovery powder mixed with water. But it was wonderfully stress free!

Sweet pictures, Sarah, and as Claire said, she does look well, bless her.

Please remind me, have I met her - or didn't you take her to Cavy Corner events.

Bless her, she is beautiful, I love golden oldie piggies x)

Thank you for your lovely comments, I just told her she was beautiful when I gave her the baytril. Such a surprised look on her face! It is going to get really hard to approach her with a syringe soon - baytril tastes disgusting for those piggy owners who haven't tasted it.

I think she is at least four. The years go by so fast and I lose track, sorry. I haven't brought her to the events before Sue so I don't think you've met her, but I have shown her picture around (or rather the picture of her poor little yeast infected toenail). I will be bringing Lily who is the little rescue girl I picked up earlier this year from Cavy Corner and also Lola who is a calm and relaxed little cuddle monster and will enjoy meeting you Sue. I am so looking forwards to next Saturday! I need more marmalade!

Look forward to seeing you, Sarah, and meeting Lily and Lola. (Yes, there'll be marmalade.)
