Sarah from Chucklebunnies
Adult Guinea Pig
Carmeline, an opinionated and elderly lady, has currently got a mild infection that is being treated with antibiotic. So she is being given recovery food as well as the usual diet. Being a very ladylike piggy she prefers to take her recovery food from a spoon, mixed into a sort of soup, at her own gentle pace.

(Sorry about the large pink hand) The greenery is because she likes to help the recovery food down with celery leaves and bits of lettuce. It must be fairly difficult to eat, it does get all over her chin, so the bits of green do help.
I thought I would show this simply because it is a good idea to give recovery food every now and then to an elderly piggy or a piggy with a long term illness. When they learn to eat from the spoon it makes life much easier for everyone. It does take a long time, this was a good twenty minutes worth of gentle chomping to get through a rounded teaspoon of the recovery powder mixed with water. But it was wonderfully stress free!
