carpet?

could i line Charlie's ramp and hayloft with carpet? i am rackign my brains trying to think of what to cover it witha s the news paper is an obvious no-go : all i can think of is carpet of fleece, but i don't have much fleece, although i do have some lino but it is extremely thick and hard to cut!

Lino would be the best because although carpet is great for a ramp - if piggie sleeps on the carpet & wees it will soak right in - smelly!
If you have a wilkos near by in the past I have brought really cheap car mats which have no carpet on then easy enough to cut with a sturdy pair of scissors too. Just make sure there are no tempting bits for them to nibble on!
