Carrot Cottage For A Diabetic Piggy?

I wasn't sure which section to put this under so apologise if this is the wrong one.

Ellen was diagnosed with diabetes last October. However, after a strict diet change recommended by my vet and other diabetic piggy owners, Ellen has had no problems since.

I would love to buy them one of those carrot cottages but I know that carrot is a No, No for diabetic guinea pigs.

Considering that Ellen is now in remission, would it be safe to allow her one of these as a treat or am I just best to not risk it?

I have seen these cottages that are free from the carrot but they are difficult to locate

Wouldn't risk it myself especially since she is doing so well.

I've not got much carrot left on mine but I think you could probably scrape the vast majority off with a knife.
