Carrot leaves ok?

Just wondering if the leaves on top of carrots are ok? Waitrose have some carrots with tons of leaves on at moment and was hoping to try them with our pig just to spice her teatime up a little bit...

Yep, they are fine. Mine love them more than the carrot!

Cool, thanks I thought I'd read somewhere that they were ok. Carrots are hit and miss, they get nibbled at but only after the nicer food has been chomped!

I sometimes buy these for my girls, they love them. The tops always go first then the bottom.

I grew carrots last year for the family but I think that more ended up with the guinea pigs and they went mad for the leafy tops.

Just to report back, Putt loves the carrot tops! She couldn't get enough and kept looking up for more.

Glad I have found something else that she really loves and is NOT high in calcium for once!

Mine also love carrot tops....in fact worth growing just for the tops...

Does anyone know if the Calcium content of Carrot leaves is quite high? I'm trying to get a low calcium diet going on for Putt...
