do carrot tops have any nutritional value as my piggies adore these ,I have just found a fruit shop thats selling the carrots with all the leaves still attached and they are only 79p a bunch Asda charge £1.48.
 
All our piggies adore the tops....it's their special treat of the week.
79p is a really good price. The cheapest I can get them for at the moment is £1.30.
 
Mine got carrot tops tonight from the local farm shop. I put them into a brown paper bag so they would have some fun. When I game back a bit later my biggest piggie had decided to make it her new sleeping bag! She just loves her food and her sleep and now doesn't need to move to do both :))
 
thank you, Thats the problem with fruit and veg, u don't get any information on alot of it!!
 
yeah they love the leaves.. my mum is growing loads of carrots in our garden so the piggies will have lots of freshly picked tops :)
 
Forgot how easy it was to grow carrot tops on the window ledge. Used to do this when we were kids and my mum used to tell me a carrot would grow...ddurrrr... I believed her though. Goin to put some in water now, a treat for my piggies. xx
