I am wondering is it safe to give piggies carrots to piggies most days my three love them but I am sure that I read some where that there high vitamin A level means that they can damage piggies livers.

Thanks

Yeah, that's in the Guinea Pig Shopping List in Food.

Everyone feeds their piggys carrots, and I haven't heard of it happening. I'd say just make sure they have a balanced diet. I think that feeding them carrots every day is alright, just so long as its not the only thing they eat!
Hope that helps a bit! :)

my girls love carrots and i can put a whole one in the cage and within 10mins is all gone. My boys on the other hand want it chopped up in tiny little bits and wont eat alot. x

I give half an inch of carrot per pig on most days. Not sure if it is right but I give smallr portions often and haven't had problems up to now. :)

I did have one piggy who would only eat them if they came out of a tin :o the same piggy loved jam on toast and wouldn't eat it dry :smitten:

Yes, all pigs usually love carrots and they are fine. You should just be sure not to give any extra and to give only 1 cubic inch.

;D ;D ;D ;D yep sounds like Duke he loves his cut so that he can eat the insides first ::) ::) he gets about 2" a day but usually doesn't eat it all, some days he might but most of the time he doesn't.

You feed them lots of other foods so i'd not worry love O0
