Sorry everyone for the lack of posts, it's proving a very emotional week.

Casran is very up and down. At the vet right now.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and help ... I'm not sleeping at all - thru worry and preferring just to stay up with him. Everyone's support is keeping me going.

More news later.

X

Sending you BIG HUGS and vibes to Casran! It can really take it out of you when you are fighting such a desperate battle.

To be honest I've given up loads of times, it's Casran who's had other ideas x

Stay strong, i know its hard but hes clearly trying to fight it and with your help and care, he'll hopefully get there xx

Sending love to you both, let us know how the vet goes x

Oh no @TheAurora , no no I was hoping the would give you good news.
Please stay strong. Perhaps soon you will have a clearer prognosis and will know what to do from there.
It's painful knowing they are fighting, I just hope it's a battle he can win.

You can't fight Mother Nature @Critter sadly can you?

Very sad.

I won't let him suffer x

I understand perfectly. I lost Sunrise two days ago. There was quite a battle to save her but in the end we all could see that her chances of coming out of her situation were so close to zero that we made the decision to help her to the Bridge.
I was hoping for a much better outcome for your sweet Lion. I know you said it's behind the eye. I am assuming this is inoperable but I was hoping they would tell you different. It's awful if nothing can be done.
He shouldn't suffer. You've seen him struggle. If you have been told that he is unlikely to improve then I know you will help him on his journey.
I'm so sorry hunni, I really am. Had fingers very firmly crossed for him. x

So sorry @TheAurora . You are doing your best and thats all you can do. You know him best and you can only go with what your heart is telling you.

I know TEAS have done things with eye problems and removal but dont know if this would be an option with his current health- just thought i would mention it.

I'm here if u need me xx

Awww @Critter I'm so sorry about Sunrise, xxxxxxxxxxxxx HUGS

Casran doesn't deserve to die, non of our piggies should have their lives cut short when they all have such love and happy homes.

I work at a newspaper and we've had some horrendous animal cruelty stories lately. I think of all out loved piggies that are sometimes taken too soon from happy homes, and there's just nothing you can do about it.

I guess that's why everyone says, make every day special. Because you never know which day is that last day.

I just want to say I've read the vet analysis post and I am still hoping for some kind of treatment for him. I can't offer an opinion on that/the details of the analysis, so I am going to read but not respond - keep it clean for more sensible replies than mine!
I just hope that it can be sorted. It could be that a GA may be the only answer to try to sort it even with the risk, if he cannot get better without a clear knowledge of what he's got? But that's my only thought xx

Thank you so much for your reply @Critter - everyone's continued support means so much to me.

I hope I'm not taking up too much forum space, it just helps me so much to hear from people.

Just catching up on the updates :( So sorry Dawn

Would certainly get him checked over at the specialist and check out all options. If it is a tumor then there may be the chance of an operation but obviously you have to weigh up risks, success rate etc... I know you will always do what is best for Casran. Huge hugs, we are all here for you x x
