Oh gosh those poor things. And seeing the bites on that white ones back in the photo. So sad. :(

I'm glad they were found. I often find myself looking along the side of roads just in case when we drive around.

LOL at MadGuineaLady!

That is very very sad. My chinese dwarf hamster was found in a box in Sandiacre still suckling her baby :( She was found by my friend on a very frosty morning. Her baby died of cold we think. It was so sad. Polly had a good life with us afterwards but I always felt sorry for what had happened for her and wondered if she mourned for her baby.

I find myself getting so mad! It boarders on the same line as when someone tells me I should breed my piggies or ask if I do!

Whoever had the heart to dump them isn't human in my books! I believe in karma...

Poor little mites :( I just can't understand the mentality of people who do this - obviously abandoning them in the first place is wrong but if you're going to do it, why not leave them outside a vets or somewhere similar where they will be found quickly? One of my rescue hamsters was dumped in a bin recess (in her cage thankfully) with no food or water during a heavy snow storm. Thankfully she suffered no ill effects and I hope it's the same for those 9 guinea pigs.
