what is it, just normal grass, can I feed my guinea pig it?, I seen it in little pots today in the store.

I have been feeding that to my piggies plenty of time, it is a nice little treat for them, especially if you dont have a garden. O0

I still got some old pictures of mine eating it:

But shouldnt this be posted in the food section of the forum? Maybe a moderator can move this thread for you.

do you leave it in there cage, or just set it in there to let them eat it? Can you cut it and put some in there cage?

Good question.

I personally only leave it in the cage if I am there to supervise, because my boar Uther would start eating the plastic tray otherwise ::)

I think it is more fun for them to have to reach up to nibble the grass, rather than having it just placed in front of them readily cut. But on the other hand, when they get a bit over enthusiastic, they tend to pull the grass out including roots, so if you want to regrow your grass (which I believe you can, once or twice?) then you will be better off cutting it for them.

mine likes to pull her food so she can hide so I think Ill cut it and stuff it in her little hanging ball feeder thingy

I got it at a super market, and they say online its oat or wheat grass, well its grass so I don't think it would bother the piggy to much. I gave her some yesterday and today she likes it, not like she likes her lettuce of course lol
