I very nearly had a disaster just now, left me a bit shaken actually. I'd cleaned the girls out and put their vet bed in the washing machine. I then put Fudge in the run in the kitchen whilst I cleaned his cage out. On going into the kitchen to my horror he'd escaped the run somehow - it's a C&C run and it had fallen over and he'd got out. Called my son in a panic as we're doing the house up and there's tons of holes etc he could have disappeared down and my son said he thought he'd seen something move in the washing machine :o

I didn't really believe him as it's quite a climb off the floor but I slowly took out the vet bed and found one very mischevious guineapig sitting in the washing machine! I can only think he could smell the girls vet bed and went in search of them.

If I'd not seen he was gone and had loaded his vetbed into the machine and turned it on.......

Thank god my son saw him

There's a scene on Stuart Little like that! I bet you nearly had to do another load of washing when you found him... ;D

I lost my first Guinea Pig when I was 5 in the foundations of the house mum & dad was building - the concrete had just set thank god, it was like a giant maze she got lost in (I'm getting those panic feeling now thinking about it!).  It holted the build by 2 hours - I was not in their good books!  1 week later whilst mum & dad were laying the concrete kitchen floor & I was walking around the edge and seconds after it was levelled I fell in it oops  - Spent a lot of time at my grandparents after that!

It doesn't bear thinking about :-\ *shudders*

OMG! How scary! Good thing your son saw him and you spotted he was gone!

Oh my giddy aunt! That woulda been a real scare for you, :( You poor thing!

eek :o lucky escape ! one of kittens quite often gets in to the tumble dryer as soon as you open the door !

jeeze gulp! my mind is buzzing with the thought, I've had one slip into the rubbish bag as i was cleaning them out that was bad enough and I got to him before tying it up

They're cheeky little blighters aren't they ;D Rubbish bags, washing machines ::) I can't tell you how relieved I was when we found him, I had visions of him disappearing down a hole in the floorboards and me trying to tempt him up again with cucumber and carrot traps.

I honestly didn't believe my son when he said he thought he could see him in the washing machine, it's quite a big climb up to get in. He hasn't stopped squeaking yet, I think he's full of his big adventure ;D

if only I could remember, someones piggy climed into their printer and they had a hell of a time trying to get him out! and they couldnt even switch the printer off cause the cartridges move when you do that!

Before we went to bed last night he was trying to climb out of his cage so I had to add extra grids to stop him. David said he thinks we should neuter him as he's so determined to get to the girls it's not fair on him and there's always a risk he might manage it.
