Hi, Does any one know the recommended feeding guide in grams per pig for Cavy Cuisine please.

The only information I can find says 1/8 of a cup, no weight mentioned, that doesn't help when I'm working out the costings.

Many thanks.

Hi I fill a plastic half pint up about 3/4 full if that helps. I find they don't eat as much of this as it's more filling. I've run out at the moment, just waiting for more to arrive in the post and they're clearly missing it, constantly squeaking! No other dried food fills that tummy!

Thanks for that. I've looked at your profile and see you have 5 pigs, my 6 eat Burgess Excel and I was working out the amount and cost difference between the two. @)

I get through a 4.5kg bag in about a 5 weeks. I mix a small amount of Wagg Crunch in aswell to make it go further! I think I'm being a little generous with it though!

Excellent, thank you, they sound very spoilt. I'll do my calculations and discuss it with the girls tomorrow. :(|)

My girls said yes please to try the food, unfortunately the bank account said no. I can get a 10KG bag of Burgess Excel for £15.99, that lasts them a good while.

I must remember to use the thanks button as well as saying thank you in a post. malletheadmalletheadmallethead

not sure if this helps at alllll but in the kitchen department in most shops you can get a cup measurement and i guess if you weighed out 1 cup you could find out how many cups were in a bag and then divide it into 1/8........maybe that a complicated way though?

Hi trivialpursuit, the weighing of the food in the cup would work perfectly, mine get through on average, 180grams per day.

I managed to work out my calculation based on how long a 4.5 bag lasts katiepops pigs.
