Cavy-savvy vet in Oxford?

Hi everyone,
I'm moving to Oxford soon with my 4 guinea pigs, one of whom will likely require surgery on a very late (10 months) post-castration abscess. Can anyone from there recommend a good vet? The vet locator only shows one in Didcot, which would still be a 1h30 trip by public transport for me (I don't have a car).

Have you googled vets in Oxford? Phone them up and ask them how many guinea pigs they see and if they are used to seeing them.

I've done this in the past and did not find it very useful as they all tend to say "sure, we see loads of guinea pigs, we're very experienced, etc." Would much rather hear from an actual customer!
