How do you pronounce cavy ?

Cay-vee or Ca-vee

I always said Ca-vee but I think I may be wrong :))

Yes, it's Kay-vee.

Don't ask how to say the full latin name though, cavia porcellus.
I say Kay-vee-a por-sell-us but am probably wrong!
 
I'm guessing is kay-vee-a por- chell-us, but that's just me... I have no idea about how to say the latin names of things...
 
It matters when you're planning a tattoo of it and someone asks what it says. :))
