I had a wee look and can't see another topic..

I tried to give my pigs celery - completely ignored it. I held a piece for Cobweb to sniff and hopefully take from my hand, but he just sniffed it and then immediately ran away. Tried with Pigpig - the exact same reaction!

Do your pigs like celery? ?
 
2 out of my 4 girls do.. you can see them pick it out of the other veg or fruit that is offered lol
Each to their own lol :D
 
it's our pigs favourites along with dandelions. They pick around peppers, carrots and anything that isn't green!
 
All mine like celery but guineas can be fussy especially if its new.. try leaving it in their cage for a while see if they have a nibble when your not looking!

I'm sure once they get a taste for it they will love it.
 
All mine go mad for it! I always get mine from the market with the huge bunch of leaves left on-thats their favourite part :D
I always chop up the celery in pieces too incase any of the stringy parts get stuck in their throat or gut ;)
 
Yep celery lovers here! I chop up into 1cm pieces and it goes down a treat. Better than carrots. I tend to give half a piece every day but now the boys are getting better with different foods I'm mixing up and trying to give every other day.

Wee update: I left it as Pampered Piggies suggested, and now Pigpig has eaten a piece! Hurray! He's a terribly greedy boy though, he's little compared to Cobweb but he doesn't half put it away.

Cobweb is still ignoring the celery.... ::)
 
I tried celery for the first time last week when my dad left some for me, they ate it straight away thought hardly anythings turned down with mine except corn ;D
 
Give them the Celery in the centre. They like the leaves too. Victoria Celery is the favourite here :) .
 
celery is my boys fav food at the min :)

they go through phases with foods, all the foods they used to love theyve now stopped eating, and are now favouring other foods..at the minute its celery lol
I'm sure in a few weeks it will switch to something else, picky eaters ::)

lol isnt it annoying!? ::) i stocked up on corn on the cob and peppers last week, only to find they wanted nothing to do with it anymore, and only had eyes for celery! lol

ive never given mine the leaves, but i think they love the crunchyness of the stalks, they seem to prefer crunchy food. might try them with the leaves too this week, i just got a new load of celery in :)
 
All mine like celery. We are going to try and grow some next year. :)

They ate that, the devils! Still ignoring the rest of it though, it's lovely and fresh too! ::)

My only consolation is that Luna the hamster liked it. :)
