Sadly, Ceri lost her battle with bloat yesterday. Her name means "love" in Welsh. Ceri was one of the founding members of the Tribe and was a last minute gift from Becklen Rescue, who wanted to make absolutely sure that she wouldn't be bred from when I adopted her companion Cariad from them in October 2009.
After being extremely skittish and thin on arrival, Ceri developed into a very friendly girl, always one of the crowd. She had a knack of getting on with everypig and in any setting, which was a great help for me when solving tricky situations or needing to find a good "paw holder" companion for ill piggies. Over time, she's lived with all Tribe boars and in all my groups.

On arrival with her group mate Cariad

With old lady Fflur, who taught her how to enjoy being a pet piggy and who provided a much loved snuggling up friend in the short time she was with the Tribe

Piggy Train with the old patriarch Llewelyn

Looking much better after a few months!

A kiss for Fflur's successor Ffion

Life is great!
