Sadly, Ceri lost her battle with bloat yesterday. Her name means "love" in Welsh. Ceri was one of the founding members of the Tribe and was a last minute gift from Becklen Rescue, who wanted to make absolutely sure that she wouldn't be bred from when I adopted her companion Cariad from them in October 2009.

After being extremely skittish and thin on arrival, Ceri developed into a very friendly girl, always one of the crowd. She had a knack of getting on with everypig and in any setting, which was a great help for me when solving tricky situations or needing to find a good "paw holder" companion for ill piggies. Over time, she's lived with all Tribe boars and in all my groups.

On arrival with her group mate Cariad

With old lady Fflur, who taught her how to enjoy being a pet piggy and who provided a much loved snuggling up friend in the short time she was with the Tribe

Piggy Train with the old patriarch Llewelyn

Looking much better after a few months!

A kiss for Fflur's successor Ffion

Life is great!

Oh I am so very very sorry, you are having really bad luck with your piggies lately. Ceri was such a beautiful pig, and I love how her personality shows through your photos.

So sorry for your loss, what a beautiful girl. I agree, her personality absolutely shines through in your pictures x

Oh gosh, so sad :( Ceri was such a beautiful and happy guinea pig and that second photo is just how I remember both her and Cariad from the beginning.

This thread is so bittersweet remembering past piggies throughout the years.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ceri has certainly left a hole :(

Sleep tight beautiful girl x

I am so sorry:soz:, she was such a gorgeous piggie, I mean, look at that first pigture!
R.I.P Ceri....:inn:

It's heartbreaking to lose such a sweet and dear friend, but wonderful to look back at her happy photos and remember her at her most beautiful best. You have had such a tough time recently Wiebke. Popcorn free little Ceri xx

I'm so sorry that you have experienced yet another very sad loss, Wiebke. Ceri was absolutely gorgeous - those lovely pigtures pay tribute to a stunning and much loved piggie.

Sorry to hear about your piggy, sweetie. She was quite beautiful I must say. She looked as though she had a darling personality. If I can help you in anyway like you helped me, please let me know. I wish you all the love in the world right now.

Her heart will go on, she will live in your heart and of those she touched.
She was a stunning little girl, and you have lots of memories of her to cherish.
She is popcorning away with Bethan and Rosa up there.
Sleep well sweet girls.
Hugs Wiebke xx

Such a beautiful collection of photographs (and memories). We were only talking about the "headache picture" (hiding under the crash pad) just a few days ago weren't we. It's so hard for you, but one thing you can be sure of - Ceri will never be forgotten.

Big hugs, Wiebke.

Such a lovely tribute Wiebke, you really do have some wonderful memories of your beautiful girl. I am so so sorry she had to leave you, night night beautiful Ceri.

What a sweet piggie, RIP and run free with all the other piggies, Ceri

Beautiful girl Wiebke - and lovely memories of her by the looks of the photos.

I am sorry Wiebke, a beautiful tribute to a really special lady. Had a few tears reading that, she was such a lovely girl who has left a huge paw print in your heart. Huge hugs and love to you x

Sleep well beauty

RIP Ceri
x x

She was my favourite of The Tribe and shall cherish her memory.
I have found a video that I took of her a year or two ago.
Run free Little Miss.

AWWW - one of the dinners under the dining table (which has since been sold to make space for the piggy palace)!
RIP Ceri and Telyn...

A great tribute to a special girl. R.I.P. Ceri. xx

So sorry you and the tribe have suffered yet another loss. The past few weeks must have been very painful for you - deepest sympathies! RIP x

It's never easy loosing them. I admit to having favourites, and it's those who I find the hardest to loose. It's just hard to think of them no longer being here, and I would so love them to live forever. Hugs :( xx

Such beautiful pictures! Ceri really touched my heart, especially when she had her bladder stone op while she was staying with me. She had looked so frail before the op and then really bounced back, despite having such a huge stone removed. I know you shouldn't have favourites but she was definitely one of the extra special ones. I am so sad that she won't be coming to stay again, but I will never ever forget her!

Sleep well beautiful girl! Another bright star in the sky! x
