Hi everyone, more advice required, but I may be worrying over nothing.
Gremlin had a slight issue last week with eating, so I had to syringe feed and water all last week. A vet visit showed up that he had a piece of Timothy hay in the roof of his mouth and although it was dislodged and he improved, a second visit was arranged for a teeth inspection. He had a tiny amount taken off a molar. He's been doing well, interested in food and eating plenty of hay. But, He hardly touches his pellets and he hardly has any water from his bottle anymore, infact I've been offering him water in a syringe and he's been taking it, although only 6-7ml at a time. I have weighed him every evening since Thursday and his weight has been within 18g over that time. He is on Meloxaid, 0.5ml once a day. Am I worrying over nothing?

It’s very hard for us to say but I think if you are concerned enough to ask here’s then there is no harm in having him checked over but It sounds as if he is maintaining weight well. Pellets are such a small part of their diet so I wouldn’t immediately be concerned about not eating them - it’s essential he eats hay, not essential he eats pellets. Is he eating veg? Veg contains water so if he is eating veg then he may just be getting enough fluids.

Hi, yeah he's eating his usual amount of veg and he seems pretty normal otherwise
