So when i first got my piggys we had an instant connection . They would let me pick them up and come up and get food out of my hand . it was Adorable. Now they have been more distant they hide alot more I have to pretty much chase them around the cage to pick them up. ( i tripled the size of their cage so maybe there's just more places to hide?) but they also don't want to take treats from me any more. They wont eat it untill i put it in their bowl. I m just wondering if this is a normal behavior for guinea pigs to go from being social to not as much.

I would imagine they were so quiet and placid at the beginning because they were scared and didn't know where was "safe" to hide. My two sows were exactly the same when I got them. It sounds like you just need to continue to build the relationship and trust. :)

I don't think I can add anything else on to what else has already been said, all I can do is wish you luck!
Some pigtures would be nice?

Hi! Your piggies are getting more confident. They are also now teenagers and no longer babies.
The constantly perpetuated myth of piggies being animated cuddly toys is just that: a myth.
Piggies are much more - they are independent personalities and much more like people than extensions of your own desires. Go and meet them on their terms, and they will introduce you into a very fascinating world. Guinea pigs are not born just as pets, they are a functioning species with a very complex social interaction. ;)

Try some of our cheap ideas with paper bags and cardboard boxes while you sit next to them and enjoy the fun with them. ;)
