I have two sows and they are about 3 months old. I have had them since October and I also thought Igby was the dominant piggy. In the first few weeks she did all the mounting, rumble strutting, teeth chatter, etc. Igby would steal the food from Petunia and put Petunia in her place when she got mad, Igby is also a bit larger than Petunia as well. But now Petunia is stealing food from Igby and starting the fights. Petunia seems more confident and seems like she wants to take power. She doesn't run away when Igby growls but instead sways her hips and seems to growl back. Is Petunia trying to be dominant and trying to change the hierarchy or is this just her being moody? To be honest I am just very curious about what is happening!

Since they are just 3 months old I would assume that it’s just a change in hormones.

A change in dominant pig happens. at their age i imagine they are just still sorting out the hierarchy and hormones play a part in those behaviours.
