Hi,

Over the past few days I’ve noticed that my guinea pigs both seem to have a lot more energy than usual and they are chatting away and squeaking a lot more too. Just wanted to check there isn’t anything to worry about!

Youngsters are playful.
What exactly do you mean by more active - are they displaying normal dominance behaviours which would be expected of green boars? Are they fighting? Etc
Do they have a decent sized cage (180x60cm is the recommended cage size for a boar pair)

Hi,

I mean that they are running around a lot more (they are usually quite quiet and relaxed) and are making a lot more squeaking and purring noises. I haven’t seen them fighting at all.

They have a c&c cage that’s 2x4 (I think that’s roughly 70 x 150 cm) and a run (60 x 60 cm). I don’t have room for a larger cage as they stay in my bedroom so that they are away from the dogs.
