The OH when I persuaded him that piggies would be a great idea wasnt completely convinced and did the usual "I am having nothing to do with them" nonsense. He is a huge animal lover and dotes on pepper and loved the two foster dogs we had here for a while so I didnt take him too seriously.

When I am at work I asked him to pop out and feed them their afternoon veggies and to watch that all 4 eat and eat ok as I cannot watch them while at work so he reluctantly did so, but as time went on he started to tell me what antics they had been getting up to :))

Now they are inside he has been showing me just how much he likes them really, each time he walks past the room they wheek at him :)) and he talks back to them but still keeps up the pretence of not having much to do with them by not calling them by name - he has given them all his own nicknames though :))

But further proof is now when I come home the door to the spare room has been closed, which is what we do when its night time for the piggies - the hall light shines in and when its past 9pm I think they deserve some shut eye. He has started to put them to bed as well :)):)) I know the gang have blown his pretend cover already but he thinks they are great fun and does care for them a lot.
 
The little fur balls have broken his macho exterior!

I'm trying to get my OH around to the pigs... he's petrified of animals - we're not a good combination!

He doesn't mind them being there but he won't touch them, he thinks everything is going to bite him! He doesn't seem to believe me when I say they don't bite rolleyes

He also thinks I have my priorities wrong when it's coming up to pay day, I'm skint, living off stale bread and beans, and giving the pigs all the good veg... I'd say I've got my priorities spot on :))

One day, I'll get him to give Jeffy a chin tickle! :))
 
he wont pick them up as he is worried they will scratch and bite him rolleyes nor will he touch them but I am sure if I had one on my lap he would - sadly I cant do that with pepper around so I make do with the small steps we have so far, and he does enjoy watching them (have also caught him standing at the doorway watching them :)) )
