I have noticed over the past few days or so my boar terra is not eating as much hay as he should. How can I get him to eat more?

Hi, welcome to the forum. Have you tried changing his hay? Is it only hay he's not eating?

My girls go on and off certain food and even hay, fussy little eaters!
 
He is eating alot of pellets and ive recently cut back on his veggies. Hes been off his hay for a few days now.
 
Sounds like he's being fussy over his hay. I'd try changing the hay, it works for me, I normally switch between Timothy and burgess to keep them interested, a change of smell and all that.

The fact he's eating as norm is a good sign, it's worth keeping an eye on his fluid intake also.
 
If he is a fully grown piggy, he will only need a level egg cup of pellets per day, so if your giving unlimited, it could be that he just prefers the pellets...However if they are already limited, i would definatly try switching hay :)
 
Thank you for all the suggestions. Terra is a baby (4mos old) and on unlimitied pellet and unlimited hay. I will try changing his hay.
 
Ahh, yes, well as hes growing definatly dont limit the pellets :) Hopefully changing the hay will work!
