So just took these from a family member who was really really tired of taking care of them and couldnt find them a home so. Ive never had Guinea pigs and had lotsss of help from everyone on here so thank you guys :). So heres the new changes:) Before and then today. There was actually not even that bottle hay feeder when I got them, just water bottle a mineral block thing and a wood chew and obviously food bowl and the hay was just put in that corner where they stayed 24/7. Obviously still need more stuff like another water bottle and stuff but this is what I have done today, made the cage liners took both trays out and vacuumed every bit of that old litter stuff, then scrubbed all the trays and walls inside (which took forever since the cage was never deeply cleaned)20200521_115009.webp. They LOVE the fleece so much! When they discovered it they both just stopped and then went over to their bed and laid down and went to sleep it was so cutee. And one has been so happy she was running from downstairs to up stairs back and forth I have never seen them that excited for a long timeee lol. And then I just made this bed out of the pieces left of fleece obviously not a pretty one but they like it lol and they're now coming downstairs not just staying in their corner up top :)20200521_115838.webp

Lucky boys - they’ve certainly landed on their paws with you there.
Your setup is looking good

They aree! And the cream colored and white one is now letting me pet her! And when I have the door open they're not afraid lol now theyre leaning outside of the cage. Before they would run if anyone opened the doors. I tried yesterday to get them to go out in a pen. I left the doors open for like 3 hours with grass spread around and treats and a big box with two door ways for them to go in. They did go out apparently because when I came back there was some poop on the towel outside the cage but I dont think they're really comfortable enough to run about yet. The bed I made for them they liked to burrow under it so I just turned it upside down and now it's like a little cave lol which works out too because they wont be peeing and pooping on it so less mess

Looks great, so cute that they are loving the soft fleece. In time they will be out the cage running about for sure soon. So lovely that you took them on & are already making their home more cosy x

Honestly I didnt think I would actually enjoy them, we have had hamsters and sugar gliders before and I'm kinda hesitant about those types of pets especially since I'm a horse person and enjoy big pets lol. But I'm actually enjoying it. Then again I didnt think I'd be a fish person either but I am now so xD. Also they're really warming up to me and one of them actually comes up to my hand and sniffs me when I'm cleaning the cage, she did "bite" me but they're not really bites, my sugar gliders did the same we called it "tasting" lol. But one did bite the blood out of me once so they kept me on my toes Haha. One thing that's a bit challenging is cutting them grass where I live since we dont have much grass. What grass we do have is the dogs place and we have lots of foxes and about any kind of wild animal you can think of in our yard. So it's mainly weeds like clover, black medic, LOTS of ground ivy and ironically Timothy hay that I end up cutting off the huge hillside but since I'm worried about dog/fox pee along with fleas and stuff I soak all their grass in a vegetable wash then rinse it extremely well. So also I'm learning about plants around here and whats safe and not safe, so far most is not lol. But educational at least! XD
