Hello! My pigs are currently on the GF science selective food as i’ve seen it’s a good low calcium one for pigs with bladder issues. I’ve seen a new one called Norahs and was just wondering thoughts on it and if it would be suitable for pigs with bladder issues? It contains glucosamine so thought it may be helpful?

Hmmm…..I don’t think I’d use this for bladder piggies.
Most concerning is one of it’s main ingredients is lucerne (alfalfa) which is high calcium. The analysis of this says the calcium content is 1%, whereas the pellet most recommended on the forum for bladder piggies (which is Science Selective Grain Free free) is 0.6%.

You would possibly be better off to use a los calcium pellet (kept to the recommended feeding amount of one tablespoon per pig per day) and give glucosamine as a supplement

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ll keep them on the GF selective science then:)
