I know you are supposed to do this gradually but I haven't ben able to.
I posted a thread a while back on white maggot things in the hay....well it came to light after much head scratching when the things were to be found in the kitchen on the ceiling in the cupboard where I keep all the dog, cat and guinea food that their gerty guinea was infested with them I only discovered this as I had it in a tupperware container and I saw one crawling up the inside...yuk yuk yuk! I threw the whole lot straight into the dustbin.
I have just gone out and bought P&H muesli and Supa Excel which i have mixed together, they seem to be not touching the excel and pulling it all over the floor to get to the muesli. The thing that concerns me most is that all the packets said you should do this gradually BUT I couldn't bring myself to buy gerty after that experience. I suppose I sould have taken it back to the pet shop but my immediate response was to bin it straight away.
Sorry for the long post but I am very worried I may upset their delicate digestive systems with this sudden change. Help and advice will be very gratefully recieved. By the way they are four and a half and I adopted them six months ago. their previous owner always fed them gerty so i carried on even though I didn't much like the addtiives.
