Hi everyone,
Some of you might remember that I posted about my guinea pig Charles dying suddenly a couple of weeks ago. I finally felt like it is time to put a post up on here for him.
We didn't really get to know Charles very well. He was a rescue pig and wasn't with us for very long before he felt ill. He was always a little subdued but, in a way, this made him very gentle. We had plans to put a divider in the girls' cage so that he could be closer to them as we were told he just didn't get on with other guinea pigs but thought he might like to have some interaction on his own terms. We thought we had plenty of time to get around to it but unfortunately time ran out.
I only hope that in the short space of time Charles spent with us that he felt loved and enjoyed his cuddles. He loved to munch on fresh fruit and veg and would sit so nicely on your lap and eat them from your hand. It was painful to see him become lifeless in front of us but I'm glad that he wasn't alone and that he isn't suffering anymore.
RIP Charles. You will always be remembered.
