Liccle charlie pig had his first sleep over with daddy (romeo) last night, he didnt cry much and he was snuggled with dad this morning. Rosie also doesnt seem that arsed that one of her boys has gone off..... i think she releaved to have one less hanging off her.
Also Badger and Devon who are 2 weeks old are very rumbly and are strutting all over the shop, they were mounting each other too, I'm really worried they are sexually active when I'm not looking.... I know the mounting is domiance etc but cud they be being sexual with their sisters and mum and aunty at this tender age? :o I read someone here had to separate one of their boars really early for being amourous with mammy......?? advice plz lovleys!

awww bless the boys all sticking together! :smitten: :smitten: I'm no expert, but I read somewhere about someone separating the overly-amourous boys @ 2 weeks? Mine were separated at 3 weeks, just to be on the safe side. I didn't realise they became sexually active so early! Sorry, not much help Clare!

I took Flash,Pumpkin and Blaze away at 19 days old because little Blaze was trying to mount mummy ::) Flash was rumbling aged four days :o I would remove them now if they are displaying naughtyness.

Yeah deffo split them up Clare. They'll be eating OK by now and probably only suckling for comfort occasionally. Good luck O0

I always take my baby boars out at 3 weeks old but yes I did have to take 2 out at 2 1/2 weeks because they where mounting mum and they did know what they where trying to do ::)
If they are mounting I would take them out

I have put baby bobby pig in with romeo and Charlie and things all ok...... I'm off to get badger and Devon sorted, put them into play with all the lads and romeo was bulldozing and spraying wee everywhere while devon and badger thought it funny and chased him about. Looks like ill have a 3 and 2 set up... I cant put all my girls together as Mrs mop is biting rosie and her pups, Rosie and mrs mop used to be mates!

That's such a pain when they do that Clare. I think one gets jealous cos of the babies or doesn't recognise the mummy one anymore cos apparently they smell different after they've had pups. Poor Rosie & pups :smitten:

You might be able to put the mums back together once they are away from the other mum :) I managed it with my two Blossom and Treacle. What I did was put the cages next to each other Blossoms babies had already been taken away. Treacle was still pregnant and I was hoping Blossom would help her but event happened Treacle gave birth sadly the baby was dead she had given birth in the night to a huge pup almost as big as her she was only a babe herself. A mercy dash followed to the vets Treacle was bleeding when I found her luckly she pulled through. A day later I put her in the run with Blossom I could see they wanted to be together cages were next to each other and through the bars they were non stop talking to each other.t
I would try and get the mums back together without any baby Sows around then reindroduce the babies later once mum has had chance to forget they are her daughters.
