Who had guineapigs?
I have three. Charm, Ringo and Pancake. They are all girls and live together. Charm is 1 and a half years old, Pancake is 2 and a hlaf years and Ringo is 5+ years old.
Pancake is a black and golden Abysinnian/Aby X Peru
Ringo is a lemon Agouti and cream pet
Charm is a white and golden mismarked Dutch type pet
I think. I got told by someone who breeds guineapigs that those are what breed they are.
I only got Pancake from a pet shop. The other to I saved from torture and death.
Ringo was left in a small cage on the grass(aka dead grass) by herself with barely a carrot a night to eat. Her cage reeked of pee and poo and she had been attacked vicously by a dog several times. My freind owned her(not a friend anymore) I told her I would look after Ringo and she gave me her for free. She is still quite traumitized by her horrible life before me, but she is getting better.
Charm was owned by another friend of mine. Her piggie had just had a litter and she had sold all of them except for one. And that was Charm. She told me one day that she was going to drown her when she got home *** she couldn't be bothered looking for another home so I told her to bring her over to the bus stop and I would take her home. Later on, she came over with a baby(maybe 3 weeks old) and asked for 2 dollars for her...apparently she couldn't give it away for free, but she could drown it if she wanted. Then on the bus trip home a year 2 kid grabbed her out of my jacket and was choking her. I screamed at him and my bus driver(awesome guy) stopped the bus and started trying to get him to give her back. I remember the look in her eyes. She was terrified and in pain. I thought he was going to choke her. But then all of a sudden he threw her at me(literally) My bestie went to catch her, but missed, but I didn't miss her and as soon as I felt her in my hands I hugged her to my chest fiercely. The little kid then asked me if he could hold her again a few minutes later..I didn't think Charm was going to survive the night, but she pulled through and is now a happy piggie...

Ah what sad stories but what gorgoues piggies they are a credit to you

They are all so gorgeous, but I like Charm best with that little hat on - I seem to have a thing about dutchies - or they about me...

Just got a little teddy with a similar face this Monday (another unwanted pet, but not as traumatised as yours!).

I admire the good work you're doing with your rescues. It takes a long time to get over traumas that go that deep. But they all know how well loved they are and are showing it, they have that happy, cheeky look!

What a horrible start into life these piggies had. It's disgusting that people can do such things and believe it's normal and acceptable behaviour.

They're gorgeous and I bet they are over the moon to be with you!

What gorgeous piggies they are! Thank you for saving Charm and Ringo, they had such a rotten time before they came to you. I know they will be forever grateful. x

I can do nearly anything with Charm now. But she still doesn't like other people...
:) she can be a real sweetheart.
I couldn't just leave them to die...

They are truly lovely piggies and I'm glad they ended up with a caring person :)

They are gorgeous, thank goodness they ended up with a caring person like you xx

Yeah, right now Ringo is really sick. We think she might pass away soon :'(
If you want to read about it, go to health and sickness posts....
