Hi guys

I am at my wits end
Stripeys plumbs have descended
This is starting to cause problems because he wants to make chop his bits
I haven't booked in on the 2nd to get them both castrated but I am wondering what to do in the meantime because I have tried to separate them and people squeal for each other and a soon as I put them back together but chasing the mounting and the squealing starts up again
The racket is doing my head
Really doing my head
I don't know what to do
Any suggestions
Thanks in advance

Please leave them together unless their are real fights with serious bites to the rump or face (accidental scratches don't count). Also be aware that neutering is NOT going to calm them down or a guarantee that they will not fall out.

So far, their behaviour doesn't sound like they are close ot fighting, just that their hormones have woken up. If you put them back, always do so on neutral ground and not plonking them back into the other pig's territory - that lies a fight.

Please take the time to carefully read through these detailed guides here:

I do wonder as well if it's partly a hierarchical struggle going on between the pair of them because stripey is nearly the size of my adult and I'm wondering if that might be a part to play in it
Just a thought
We both live in the same cage which hasn't been a problem until stripey is gangliest decided to appear and he has a rather impressive pair

I took the old towel out of the running closure replaced it with a clean one wash the original towel in the notice morning and they are both acting normally has been no fighting so fingers crossed I've managed to sort that out
The racket they were making was drive me nuts though
Thankfully there hasn't been any squealing chasing mounting or painting or whatever was going on today
So I hope I've managed to sort it out
If I need any more advice I am sure I will be posting back here

Well I have had to put stripey in segregation in a separate cage because he had Choc cornered and wouldn't let him move and he really attacked him so I had to step in for chocolate seriously hurt
Stripey is no distraught of course because he has never been on his own before
I'm going to leave them both in separate cages overnight
Clean out the key to chalk is in
If the cage intro goes okay tomorrow for the free run I will put them both back in the clean cage where everything is going to smell neutral and I will leave the key to the stripey is currently in set up in case he goes straight for a chocolate again
Lucky I have a towel that has been washed so it's completely neutral for going in the paint tomorrow
The vegetables will not be served in a ball they will just be put on the floor along with the palest he and nothing that either of them can trap the other one in so the pen will have no Heidi houses
The cage will also have no Heidi houses when I put them back in there either
Just haystacks
I will keep you posted

I've been so worried about the two pigs I hardly slept at all last night

What I've done is I've cleaned out the big cage picture and stripey in the pen with a freshly washed towel with haystack no tubes or anything for Chuck to get trapped in forage food water and I've left them in there and then a bit later on I'm going to put them both back in the newly cleaned cage which doesn't smell of weed over them to see how they get on because if I keep separating them it's going to be even harder for me to introduce one to the other one so I'd rather keep them together but last night I had no choice I had to separate them because stripey was actually really buy in chalk
Correction biting
I don't think there was any blood but I couldn't handle chocs distress calls
In a clean cage there is a massive haystack there will be two food bowls to water bottles and that's it and it will be like that until I can trust stripey not to call the Choc enough so that I can put house back in what I'm going to do is get my friend to freeze it so it kills off any sense from either of them and then I can put it back in after they've both had the surgery when they've recovered from that so it means they won't have a house to hide in until after the surgery but I would rather take that risk because it means that shop can get away
Pure Choc
