After weeks of worrying about the new size of Burgess Excel nuggets I got a bag of piggy nuggets from Wilkos at half the price and twice the size! I gave the boys a mix of the Burgess and the new ones to find at the end of the day all of the Burgess ones were left at the bottom. They've been leaving them for 3 days now so I thought I'd share the savings.

I'd never seen these in Wilko's before! The one where I live is pretty small though. Its good that they like them.

Hmm I may have a look at these and compare them to the burgess excel :)

I have never seen these in a wilkos either. Do they have a lot of sugar in them too? As I was thinking of changing from burgess as the vet mentioned that the Burgess had a lot of sugar in them. And Alby could do with cutting down on his sugar.

I've never seen those in Wilkos either!

I had mine just on pets at home nuggets, which they loved! When at the vets the other day they have free burgess excel sample packs, so I took some and they boys aren't interested!

I'm gunna keep an eye out for the Wilkos ones though!

I haven't seen them either - I tried all mine on the Asda ones last week at £2 a bag and they were scoffed by all pigs straight away - must look at these when go past a Wilco next.

Mr Johnsons Advance Guinea Pig 1.5kg contains:

  • Wheatfeed, alfalfa, barley, oatfeed, soya bean meal, sunflower seed meal, vegetable oil & fat, carrot, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, Verm-X blend, Bio-Mos, Glucosamine, De-odorase.
This is the ingredients in them. I looked them up on line. They wouldn't be any good for Alby as they have Alfalfa in them. Too much calcium.
