Hi All,

Been raking though various websites all night trying to find a specific few items but i'm finding that one shop may have them in stock, but be expensive, whereas another may be cheaper but not offer next day delivery unless you spend a fair whack.

I'm maybe overreacting but it's really annoying me right now.

I love amazon as I have prime and can get next day delivery but the prices are going up and up.
Hardly anyone seems to post by royal mail anymore, which would suit me as I'm usually working during the day so not home for courier deliveries.
However, we're moving office soon so I'm not comfortable ordering for delivery there at the moment either.

Does anyone have suggestions for pet shops or similar that have a wide, well stocked range?
I'm currently looking for a selection of rosewood boredom breakers, timothy hay, spare water bottle and a water bottle cleaning brush. Oh, and a shallow litter tray.
Am I naive thinking I can get them all in the one place?

I've had a look at Fetch, viovet, petplanet, amazon and I can't find all the above in stock in any of them.

Over here (Switzerland) Zooplus is fantastic, and I know you have them in the UK too, although obviously i can't comment on delivery times there.
But the stuff here comes from Germany and arrived super fast and seemed very reasonably priced too.

Another zooplus fan here, my delivery usually takes 2 working days and as it's coming from Germany I find that amazing considering most companies here in the uk take 5-7 working days unless you pay an horrendous amount for next day delivery!

Thank you both, I've looked on there before and they do have a good range at fairly good prices.
It's just difficult to place an order without a set delivery day. I may try them when i'm on a weeks holiday though.

They tend to deliver using DHL and you get the option to contact DHL and ask for a different delivery date - they (DHL) text or email you when delivery date is decided and you can reply and request a later date that you specify as long as it's within a couple of days or so.

Never had an issue with Viovet or Zooplus - both deliver really quickly in the UK! :)

ahh,OK. Thanks for the tip, that would be good.

Have you tried "The Range" they have quite a good selection of GP items at reasonable prices
I've had a look online before but not been in store as yet. I think it's about a 15 min drive to my local one so maybe pop in tomorrow, thanks.

Ooh me too - it's definitely one of those shops though where you find all sorts of things that you want that you didn't know you wanted/needed until you got there

Thanks for the detailed response! I think the closest wilkos is about a 20 min drive away and it's in a shopping centre so i'm guessing it's not very big. May make a point of trying it out one day.

Not sure where you are in Glasgow but there is a wilko in the regent centre in Hamilton, its not huge but has pretty much everything your looking for x

That's the 2nd furthest away, about 25 min in the other direction :)

know the feeling i'm out in the sticks, everywhere is a 20+ minute drive away for more than a hairdressers, charity shop & independent supermarket (owned by tossers-refuse to go in there!) oh & we have a newsagents & petrol station.... ooooh busy busy! lol!
the wilko's nearest me is quite big though - even if it is a day out to get there! lol

I usually go to the range, b&m and pets at home. All are about 20-30 minutes from me but I drive so it's not too much of a problem. Would recommend the range. Great prices and plenty of choice.

Thanks! I think living near the city centre has spoiled me! Takes 5 mins on a train or in a car to get into town and there's almost every shop you need. I rarely go further than a 20min drive away from our flat so it just seems out the way to drive 25 mins for pet supplies. B&M is the only one out of those that's close, well close to work anyways. Saying that, it's always mobbed!
