Check The Piggies, Check The Kids, Check For Spiders, Get In Bed...

I am not OCD, but I DO get OCD each evening, if that makes sense.
Check the pigs, check the windows, check the doors, check them again because I'm on automatic pilot and can't remember for sure that they were definitely locked when last checked, check the oven is off (even if I've not used it), switch off the plugs, get ready for bed, then sometimes go back downstairs again to check the doors and windows again, just for good measure. I'm fine for the rest of the day! Thing is I don't worry about these things for the rest of the night or day....

It stems from a time years ago when we went to bed leaving the back door wide open, and I've also gone to bed and left the oven on all night, so now I check and check again!

That's so sweet - it's lovely when they appreciate your handiwork! :)

I check for spiders. And its not like I live in like the US or Australia where they have spiders you actually need to worry about. I just check for the small body big legs ones! Ergh there everywhere here! Had 3 in my bedroom this summer ive had to hoover up! And they are always in the corner over my bed!

Hoover :yikes::yikes::yikes: !

We keep a cup and a piece of card handy - for relocating bees and spiders that stray into our house.

Oh no, using a glass and piece of paper brings them way to close to my body. Nope. Hoover is so much better its long extendy hose bit! Can stand quiet a distance away from it :D. Plus.. How on earth am I meant to reach the ceiling with a cup and piece of paper? Haha

I can't sleep if i see one , it has to GO ! My daughter does a spider check each night before she turns her light out... saved her from one yesterday that was just mooching about in the bathroom cupboard !

:DI have five very small spiders living in my..er.. living room! You wouldn't see them unless you know where to look. I leave them alone as none of them are the Daddy Long-leg species. Those I pick up with my hand-vac. :sly:

I don't mind the little ones. We have multiple money spiders living in the backroom/kitchen. But those big legged ones really freak me out! Whole bag of nopes!

HOOVER TIME! :sly::woot:

:D I don't mind the big or little ones either. But if I see one on the ceiling in my bedroom, I will relocate it either to the floor or out the window - where it can't fall on me during the night! :yikes: Daddy Long-legs, even if they are so small that you can hardly see them, get hand-vacced up!

Spider checking ergghhhhh :yikes: Hate doing it....

Category 2 in bed the other night - not the best

:DThe large Daddy Long-legs that get picked up in the hand vac do not die, but wander around inside it leaving a silk trail as they go! Until they get emptied into the bin! Ha ha! So long, you long-legged freak!

My son used to pick them up and remove them but since we got those spiders that bite and hurt people he takes them outside on some paper or something :) We seem to be getting a lot of spiders :/ Don't like them where the guinea's are.

:yikes: I'm not afraid of spiders, but a clown spider? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

That's the fear I am talking about....

I dried my hands on a spider today. Yep, didn't notice it hiding in the towel. The resultant scream brought hubby running to see whether I was being murdered or something!
