I'm thinking about extending the pig family and currently have a neutered boar & his wifepig in a 3 x 3 grid cage and 5 sows in a 5 x 3 grid cage. Are these big enough to allow the addition of another sow with our boar and a neutered boar in with the ladies?

So in the
2x3 you'd have 3 pigs
and the
5x3 you'd have 6 pigs

Is that correct?

Yes in the 5 × 3 we would have 6 pigs. The other cage is actually 4 x 3 - I had forgotten about extending it to give Marley more run space, my cold is making my head woolly

the way c&c sizes tend to work is you start with minimums

2x3 = 2 pigs (prefered 2x4)
2x4 = 3 pigs (prefered 2x5)
2x5 = 4 pigs (prefered 2x6)
2x6 = 5 pigs (prefered 2x7)
2x7 = 6 pigs (prefered 2x8)

So the minimum for 6 pigs total grid space is 14sq space using 2x7 your proposed 3x5 setup would be slighter larger with 15sq space
