Just over 4 weeks after we lost your sister Pearl, you decided you wanted to go be with her, always inseperable to the very end.

An oddity amongst my piggies, you were healthy almost the entire 5 years you graced our home, until 4 days ago when you developed huge lumps out of nowhere.
Initially you came to us possibly pregnant, you had launched yourself into the boys herd at the rescue we adopted you from (first picture is the one from the rescues adoption page), but I was happy to take the responsibility of any extras to make space at the rescue. Luckily, and in true Cherry fashion, you had obviously been so bolshy no boar dared to make a move 🥹

Always by your sisters side, being her guide as she was blind, you fulfilled your duty when she passed away and it seemed your little body just couldn't bare to be without her, her loss knocked your immune system enough that you developed huge lumps throughout your entire lymphatic system, not a single lymph node was untouched, you soldiered on for a few days while we frantically tried to get you treatment but sadly, last night, you passed away quickly and quietly, on your own terms next to your friends.

It has been a pleasure to be your person, enjoy rainbow bridge with Pearl, and all the friends you made while you were here ❤️

BIG HUGS

I am sorry for you, @Eriathwen . Try to mourn Pearl and Cherry as the closely bonded unit they were. Cherry is now back with Pearl and can help her find her way safely around the Rainbow Bridge. Carer bonds are some of the closest and most dedicated ones possible.

Sorry for your loss. Cherry looked like such a happy piggy, no doubt due to all the love and care you gave. Sleep tight Cherry ❤️
