found two soft poops in the cage, stuck together. the rest of his poops are slightly soft. his tum looks slightly bloated and he didn't like when i touched it.

he is still eating and drinking fine, and moving about. he even did popcorns when he went into his nice clean cage. but he doesn't seem 100%. he is definitely pooping.

have overloaded them with hay to firm up the poops, and cut down the veg aswell.

maisie had this a while back and one dose of infacol sorted her out.

i now have buscopan and infacol here. which would be best to give. buscopan is one 10mg tablet mixed with 1ml water and syringed isn't it? and should i start him on the same as maisie had, which was 0.3ml infacol and tummy rubs?

he weighs 1310g. but will re-weigh him again today to make sure.

thanks.

eta: forgot to say, they had some oxbow orchard grass the last couple of days and i think this is what might have set chesneys tum off.

I'd try the infacol first.
Also try putting him on a warm blanket and gently massage his tum.
Great idea to reduce the veg and stepup on the hay well done xx>>>
I weigh the girls weekly so i can see an patterns ....... and keep a record of them too.
I don't get that grass so no idea, but i have heard some of the others say too much grass can upset them.......poor little man :(
Best of luck and the girls send Chesney lots of girlie kisses to help him feel better xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Too much rich food can upset piggy tummies.

I agree with Glynis' tips and would have given you the same.

Johnny is a bit like this at the mo too. They are not really used to much grass as we live in a flat and can only grow so much in containers but the friends they stayed with while we were away gave them loads I think. Have lowered the veg and upped the hay too and am keeping a close eye. Gertie doesn't seem as affected.

won't be feeding dried grass again. i introduced it slowly aswell.

good news though, ches is much happier now. and his tum looks ok, he has a 'waist' again!

they've just had hay all day, and a few herbs here and there, not too much. he's had a cuddle and a tummy rub aswell. :)

will keep an eye on him obv and lower the veg for a few days. :)
