i had to separate these two in the end although there was no blood. fur was flying & they were getting very stroppy. I tried them on neutral ground & they just kept rearing up with each other.
I've now separated a 7 foot cage with grids, one each side. Will they be okay like this with no partner.
They are nattering to each other threw the divider. Or are they going to be OK, by themselves.

It's a shame they can't get along but if they are in the same cage, divided, and can still see each other, I think they should be ok. You can tell if they will still need a partner if they act depressed. If they are depressed they will stay hiding, be quite scared and will not be confident towards you. For now I think it's fine that you keep them separated, and if you notice them to be depressed then you should 100% consider them a partner.
