Chestnut is poorly :(

My little man who i got a year ago yesterday is poorly.
He sounds really chesty and rattly so we are off to the vets a 5.20 just to be on the safe side.
He sounded terrible last night, a bit better today though.
He is still eating and drinking properly but i just want to be on the safe side.
So please everyone send healing vibes to my poor little man x

I kept checking on him last night i was so worried.
He gave me a fright this morning, he was fast asleep under the fleece and he didn't hear me call him, my heart went in my mouth.
He has eaten some hay, dry food and some cucumber and lettuce this morning.
Luckily the vets is 5 mins away so he wont be out long.

It's great he's eating and drinking. Let us know what the vets say.

Scary when they are poorly.
 
I am keeping my fingers crossed; but it is good that Chestnut is still eating!
 
its horrible when our little piggies aren't well! Hopefully you got your little man off to the vet on time. And as said above its good that he is still eating! Good luck to you both!

The vet listened very closely to his chest and he has a little bit of fluid so he is on 0.4ml once daily of Baytril for 10 days.
The vet is very happy with him as he is a nice chunky size :red with no discharge from his eyes or nose.
His teeth are fine which is good, i made sure the vet gave him a very good check over.
Mum told the vet chestnut has been watching too many G-Force adverts as he's jumped off my bed twice :)) The vet thought he was a cute little fella.
If he is no better or i'm not happy with anything then to take him back in 2 weeks.
I am very happy with this vet as he knew alot about piggies so i hope he stays at my local surgery.
So fingers crossed all will go well.
My little man even had a cuddle with the neighbours, spoilt little monster :)) xx
 
He is fine in himself apart from the horrible noise when he breathes :(
He does like to make me worry :))
 
so glad that Chestnut has seen the vet and is on meds. Hope they help him feel better very soon!

He took the Baytril like a good boy, no fighting, spitting it out or trying to bite me which was what i had expected :))
I gave him lots of kisses and he gave me a look of, what are you doing to me mum :(|)
So proud of my litle man x
Tonight could be a different story though rolleyes

Glad you've got a diagnosis, hope the Baytril kicks in and sorts him out very quickly, it seems you've caught the infection early. Keeping my fingers crossed for him! xx

Glad that you found a piggy friendly vet, it always give you peace of mind knowing that the vet knows what they are looking for.

He was a very good boy for me tonight taking his medicine.
I cant believe how good he is :) it could soon change though :))
He doesn't sound as bad tonight and he's still eating me out of house and home :))
 
No nasty noise from my little man :) and he is used to having his med's now :)
